Meet George Schmitt!
George's job at Bold Gold Media entails many things, including the morning show host on Classic Hits 105.3 and Program/Music Director. You may also hear him from time to time on 95.3 DNH, as well as Wayne-Pike News Radio. He's been hosting the morning show on Classic Hits 105.3 since February 19th, 2011 and he previously hosted the morning show on 95.3 DNH for 13 years. In addition to the on-air portion of his job, George programs Classic Hits 105.3, 95.3 DNH, Wayne-Pike News Radio, and assists NY station Thunder 102 in scheduling music. He develops, produces, and implements many of the station promotions and contests, as well as writing and producing many of the commercials you hear on air. George has been in the radio industry since 1980 and has been on Honesdale radio for over 27 years. When asked what he enjoys most about his job, George said being able to broadcast in the community he grew up in, with family, friends, and neighbors, is the best part. He's enjoys the daily interaction in person and on social media. His favorite artist is Eric Carmen and the Raspberries. Much of George's time outside of work is spent outside in the fresh air doing one of his many hobbies, as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren (and occasionally sleeping).
Meet Adam Owens!
Adam is a DJ at Bold Gold Media and he's in charge of production. You can wake up with Adam on 95.3 DNH weekday mornings from 6am to 9am and get through the workday afternoons on Classic Hits 105.3. When he's not on air, Adam is in the recording studio producing all the local commercials you hear in between songs. He started with Bold Gold a little over a year and a half ago in October of 2016. According to Adam, the best part of his job at Bold Gold is the zany stuff he gets to do on his shows, meeting local business owners and helping promote their life's work. Growing up, both of Adam's parents were vegetarian so if he wanted to eat meat he had to cook it himself. He learned to cook by age 8 and has developed some pretty decent kitchen skills. Adam has a well-rounded taste in music, being a huge fan of Major Lazer and Mark Ronson, as well as, Queen, Gordon Lightfoot, Hall & Oates, and Steely Dan. He thanks his dad for introducing him to great music early in life. Adam is part of a team that throws Subaru Enthusiast Festivals around the country every summer, welcoming 23,000 guests to race track events, and more. Meet Jessica Lee!
Meet Jessica Lee! Jessica is an On-Air personality and Traffic/Billing Manager and here at Bold Gold Media. Jessica inputs commercial data from the sales team and produces daily commercial logs for 95.3 DNH, Classic Hits 105.3, Wayne-Pike News Radio, as well as Thunder 102 in New York, and 105 The River, 94.3 The Talker, and NEPA Sports Radio The Game in Scranton. She has been with Bold Gold for just about 10 years. Her favorite part of working at the station is the opportunity for new experiences and working in front of large crowds. Something interesting about Jessica is that she's a ninja! She auditioned and got selected out of 77,000 people to compete on Season 9 of American Ninja Warrior on NBC. Jessica enjoys a wide variety of music; from classical to pop, grunge, and hip-hop, as well as country. Gwen Stefani is pretty high up on the list though. In her spare time, Jessica loves baking from scratch and crocheting. Jessica has many weird talents likes walking on her hands and rolling her belly.
